How to install eSIM

Takes about 5 minutes.

Step-by-step instructions for iPhone and Android by QR code or manual entry.

  • A stable Wi-Fi connection is required for installation.
  • Do not delete the eSIM after installation. Reinstalling it may be impossible. If you do not use it, just turn it off.

The “Activation failed” message is normal. Outside the destination country your phone may try to find the network and fail. The eSIM is installed correctly and will work after arrival.

Before you start

Connect to Wi-FiTurn off VPNOpen the QR code on another device or print it
  1. 1.
    Open SIM manager
    Settings→Connections→SIM manager→Add eSIM
    On some devices: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs
  2. 2.
    Tap “Scan QR code”
    Point the camera at the QR code from another screen or printout.
    Activation may take up to 10 minutes. Do not scan the QR code again during setup.

    Turn on data roaming
    Settings→Connections→Mobile networks→Data roaming ✓
  4. 4.
    Select eSIM for mobile data
    SIM manager→Mobile data→Select eSIM
  5. 5.
    Rename the eSIM
    SIM manager→Select eSIM→Name
